Hopefully you had a wonderful 2009 and your New Year will be great. The big Bowl games will be played today and tomorrow. Lets take a look at who is playing today and tonight. The first game today we have, at high noon we have Houston and Air Force, My pick will be Houston. Stanford and their great team will put a beating on Oklahoma. I seen Navy early this year play a tough game against Ohio State and I'm picking Navy over Missouri. I'm a Big Ten guy so I'm going with the Minnesota winner against Iowa State. The last game of the day Virginia Tech downing Tennessee. I come in with a record of 109-61, five today and five on tomorrow. 12 12 down and gone.

Number 1 beat number 2

In the NBA last night there was two teams in the top 10 that played. The Cavs and the Hawks the game was in Atlanta and on tonight they will play again in Cleveland. So you see I already put in print No.1 beat No. 2, which one is No. 1, you will know at the end of this artlice. Checking in this week at No. 10 is the young gun of Portland their record is 20-13. The team that I think can give the Lakers a run for the West is Denver coming in at No. 9 and they support a 20-12 record. This team had a bad Christmas day on TV, maybe that why they move down to No. 8, the Magic with a 22-8 mark. Back to back team that had a bad Christmas day, I guess having a bad means dropping in the ranking, the Lakers, holding down No. 7 and a record of 25-6, by the way that the best record in the NBA. Mr. Caban team going up the the chart at No. 6 Dallas their record is 22-9. Lets do the top 5, the Sunshine in Phoenix and they are at No. 5 and a record of 20-12. This is a surprise the team at No. 4 and getting a lot of push from the press the Spurs and they have the worse record of any of the top teams 18-11. I think this team will come out of the East but they had two bad games this week, and fell to No. 3 the Celtics with 23-7 mark. Last week No.1 is this week No. 2 and that is the Hawks of Atlanta and they got beat by the new No.1 team this week the Cleveland Cavs. 12 12 down and gone.

Bearing thing out

The Vikings have loss two games in a row, maybe their dream season is slipping or fading away. The Bears not a great team at all won to make their record 6-9. Here is a thought Favre has loss 8 games in a row when the temp is 30 a lower on the road, what does that say. The big matchup in the NBA last night was the Lakers and Suns and the Suns came home with a win beating the Lakers 118-103. Mr Bryant had 34 pionts in the loss. The Suns record now is 20-12 and the Lakers are 24-6. Stoudemire had 26 points for the Suns and on any giving night the Suns are a playoff team. What we will do tomorrow is look at the NBA top 10 team, will it be the Hawks still at number 1 or will they be replace. Christmas day matchup might have something to do with how the rating will go on tomorrow. I haven't yet look at them but in my thinking I see the Celtics the best team in the NBA, lets see if I'm right or wrong. 12 12 down and gone.

Finally, the Colts lost

The Colts and Jim Caldwell lost their first game of the season and this is Coach Caldwell first lost ever. Coach Caldwell rest his players with a lead in the second half and the Jets score 19 points in a row to keep their playoff hope alive. This is the 16th week of football and just think I have never had a perfect week, but this one was. My best record for a week was 9-1, on this week I was perfect 10-0. There have been many week that I was beaten my the Colts and finally I beat them, I thought and said the Jets would beat them. Some other streaks going on just think about the Cleveland Browns they won yesterday and they have won 3 in a row. Anothers streak the Saints have now loss 2 in a row. Tampa Bay beating the Saints in OT and the Saints never got the ball in OT. What do you say about the Giants last game in their stadium and just not showing up at all. Philly last play of the game done Denver in 30-27, Philly record now is 11-4. The day open up for me with me being 99-61 a perfect day makes me 109-61. 12 12 down and gone.

The head coach of the Florida Gators Mr. Meyer said last night that he was leaving Florida football program. On today he may have a change of heart about leaving. Urban Meyer might not be leaving Gainesville after all. Sources from Florida say the coach is pondering taking a leave of absence, The NFL is what we going to call today, the record for today is 99-61, lets get going. First game of the day Atlanta over Buffalo, Cincinnati edging Kansas City. The next two games Cleveland will make it three in a row beating Oakland, Carolina last game in New York upseting the Giants. Surprise at No. 1 in the NBA

Tomorrow is Christmas and lets take a look at the NBA. We will check the top ten and the team at No. 1 will be a surprise, no Celtics, no Lakers and no Cav's. I can hear you thinking, who in the world could it be at number 1, lets find out. Number 10 Mark Caban team down in Dallas having a better season then the football Cowboys, their record is 20-9. The run and gun team at number 9 is the Phoenix Suns and they can gun you down any night, their record is 18-11. Moving up the ladder at number 8 is the Spurs with 15-11 record. One of the youngest teams in the NBA check in this week at number 7 Portland. The team next is the only one I think that might have a chance at the Lakers and that team is Denver Nuggets at number 6. The team that was in last years finals show their skill at number 5 the Orlando Magic with a 22-7 record. The top 4 of the NBA show the team with the best record in the regular season last year that record was 66-16. The Cav's have move up to number 4 this week. Last night year champion hold down the number 3 spot, the Lakers, with the best record this year so far at 23-4. We are down to the top two teams in the NBA, they were the champions two years ago, the Boston Celtics they stand at 22-5. The team at number 1 just two years ago they took the Celtics to seven games and their record was 37-45, they improve to 45-37 last season, this week they are the number 1 team in the NBA the Atlanta Hawks. 12 12 down and gone.

College Basketball 1 & 2 win

Kansas and Texas were winner last night the number 1 & 2 team in College Basketball. Number 1 Kansas beat Cal 84-69 and Texas was a winner over Number 9 Michigan State 79-68. Purdue is the number 4 team in the country and they also won. The Conference start in just about a week, Purdue is the big dog of the Big Ten. Number 17 Ohio State was a winner also bringing their record to 10-2 and they will start the Big Ten season on Dec 31 against Wisconsin. The Buckeye hoping to get Evan Turner back by Jan 9 against Minnesota. The start of the Big Ten season for Ohio State will be tough, their first 4 out of 5 games will be on the road, with the likes of Wisconsin, Michigan State and Purdue. If they can overcome that, look for the Ohio State team to be very tough in the Big Ten. Will Kentucky loss this year I pick them to win the National Championship this year. Kentucky is the Number 3 team in the land and they will win the SEC this year. 12 12 down and gone.

Last second games on Sunday

There were 8 games in the NFL that came down to the last 1:54. The Arizona game came down to a TD with 1:54 and the Cards won 31-24. With 1:38 the Jets lost their 7-3 lead and the game to Atlanta 10-7. Houston kick a field goal with 4:34 left to get a victory over St. Louis 16-13. Two games in a row the Cleveland Browns have that now and two record Harrison rushed for 286 yards, breaking Jim Brown record and Mr. Cribbs had two kickoff for 100 and 103 and the NFL record for returns 8. Oakland is getting better they had a win over Denver in the last 35 seconds. Tennessee is now at .500 after a 0-6 started wininng in overtime. Pittsburgh first play of the game was a touchdown and the last play of the game was a wininng touchdown and they won 37-36. The Cincinnati Bengals in the heartbreaker of the day on the heel of Chris Henry death, they lost with 3 seconds to San Diego 27-24. For the day I had a bad one going 5-5, for the season my record stand at 99-61. 12 12 down and gone.

There is only one unbeaten

The Dallas Cowboys I guess got tired of hearing they can't win in December, this was a big one for them beating the Saints. Maybe this Dallas team will not let the record of past December define them, I think this Cowboy team is making a statement that the December record have nothing to with this team. The Cowboys are now 9-5 and two games left in the season and just a half game behind Philly. What can you say about the Colts team on Thursday night winner Mr. Manning is the best QB I have ever seen, I think he could be the MVP of the NFL this year. My record stands at 94-56 as of today so lets get the picks of the day. I'm just going to give the winner of the 10 games. New England, Arizona, Tennessee, Kansas City, New York Jets, Denver, San Diego, Philadephia, Green Bay, and Minnesota these are my winner. 12 12 down and gone.

Kobe once again in overtime

Kobe hit a 15 foot jumper with time expiring with a win over Milwaukee. He is the next thing that is Micheal Jordan. The Lakers I think are the best team in the NBA. Their top 8 player are better than Boston top 8. I don't see Cleveland giving any kind of push to keep Boston out of the finals this year. The Magic's I don't see them giving the Celtics a push either. The team with the match up for Boston I think will be Atlanta the surprise of the whole NBA. You remember the Hawks two years ago with the record of 37-45 playing the Celtics to the 7th game of their series. On the other side the west the only team that could maybe give the Lakers a thought would be Denver. The Spurs just a little to old for the run that ahead of them. Dallas the same old Mav's just one player short of the milk and honey. Phoenix all scoring and no D, that will run out in the playoff. So I see the Lakers and Boston in the finals and Lakers in 6. 12 12 down and gone.

Kobe drops 42 on Bulls

Kobe scored 42 points despite having a broken index finger and the Lakers beat the home team Bulls 96-87. LeBron put up 23 points as Cleveland held on to defeat New Jersey 99-89. Charlotte snap the Knicks 4 game winner streak last night beating them 94-87. Mike Beasley came up big with his NBA best 28 points and made Miami a winner 115-95 over Toronto. Tracy McGrady seen a little action last night as he help Houston to a win. Stoudermire had 28 points and 14 rebounds and Steve Nash put together a pretty good night with 25 points and 13 assists, taking the Spurs down 116-104. The last game of the night saw Portland out play Sacramento, slowing them down 95-88. There is a short look at the NBA for the night. 12 12 down and gone.

49ers hit the Cards in the mouth

That what 49ers coach saided his first day on the job, "we go out and hit people in the mouth". That what they done last night to the Arizona Cardinals beating them 24-9. 49ers are going in a better place since the new coach Mike is on the job, look for them to do big thing come the next 2 to 3 years they will be at the top of the NFL. It time to look at the NBA top 10 rating at Number 10, Utah Jazz they are always in the top 10 but they will not win a NBA championship. No. 9 Dallas Mav's it good to see Mark Caban team doing well. No. 8 Phoenix Suns run and gun team no D but a lot of O, great to look at but no championship. The mile high city Denver Nuggets at number 7. The Spurs are climbing up the ladder, in the standing they are behind Dallas but in ranking they are ahead at No. 6. Holding down the No. 5 spot that they had last week Cleveland Cav's. The Magic are down a spot this week to No. 4, they still could win it all. The team that had their first 17 games out 21 at home this year drop a spot, the Lakers The surprise team of the whole NBA is at No. 2 the Atlanta Hawks. The No. 1 team again is the Boston Celtics. 12 12 down and gone.

Giants take another blow

The New York football Giant got another blow on their playoff path by Philly last night. The two teams score the most by two teams in one games since they have been playing over 70 years. The final score last night was 45-38 a total of 83. With the lost to Dallas and Philly win Philly is 9-4, Dallas 8-5 and New York 7-6. I started the week with an 87-53, I went 7-3 over the weekend and now 94-56. NBA Cleveland over Oklahoma City 102-89 Mr. James score a season high 44 points. In NBA rating Cleveland is the 5th best team in the NBA this week we will take a look later this week at the top 10. Football game tonight will put Arizona and San Francisco together I look for Arizona to get this victory and that will push their record to 9-4. Arizona is making the move at the right time of the season for a playoff push.Tomorrow we will take that look at the top 10 in the NBA. 12 12 down and gone.

Ingram Bama Heisman

Mark Ingram is your 2009 Heisman Winner. I'm going to be right to the point with my picks in the NFL. Here is my first pick the Saints staying unbeaten over Atlanta. The next pick will find Green Bay over Chicago, keep it rolling with, the Jets beating Tampa Bay, Baltimore having their way with Detroit. Pick number 5 This will be the first time this season that I will pick the Colts, and they probably will get beat. Here a contest between two tough teams and they are Cincinnati and Minnesota, I will go with The Vikings. New England and all their trouble taking it out on Carolina. Oakland is begininng to show some life in their football program, I will take Oakland. The Dallas Cowboys need this football game bad to save people jobs, I will go out and pick Dallas over San Diego. The last pick of the day we will go with the New York football Giants being winner over Philly. 12 12 down and gone.

Heisman Night

Who will win this award as the best college football player. This is something that I think is great if the back from Alabama is the winner it will be the first time that an Alabama player has done that. What I'm saying is that no one from Alabama has won the award. I will put my thoughts to this, I pick Mark Igram to be the winner tonight. My second thought is Colt M c Coy, isn't that a great name for a Texas QB, Colt deal with the guns and you know how Texas go together with that and M c Coy, back in the old days on TV there was a family from Texas and their names were the M c Coy's and the name of the program was "The real M c Coy's" and you heard a whole nation say that like, "That the real M c Coy", when something was down right, RIGHT. So that would be a great print for all the newspaper to see. Will it be the Real Mc Coy or Mark Igram and the guy from Nebraska will be the Number one pick in the NFL draft. There is only one college football game today so I will pick 10 NFL games on Sunday. 12 12 down and gone.

CLEVELAND WIN SHOCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm have been look at football for 49 years since 1960 and I love the Cleveland Browns, I go back to Jim Brown and the great days of this team run at being great. This is the worse team I have ever seen in all those days. This is the Pittsburgh Super Bowls Champion of 2005 and 2008 just last year, and they know they got to have a victory against the worst team in NFL history and they didn't do it. I would say they just quit, I know it was cold, but Pittsburgh you really need this game bad, so I say to you Pittsburgh you just lay down like dog and let the dog beat you. Cleveland you are still the worse team in the NFL so let not get too great about the way you think about yourself. I have just got to print this the final score CLEVELAND 13 and pittsburgh 6, amazing. Brian Kelly, head coach of Notre Dame. 12 12 down and gone.

Look at the top 10 in the NBA

Lets take a look at the top 10 in the NBA. I will start with No.10 the Dallas Mav's are the playing better this year and making the best of their trades that they made their record is 15-7. No. 9 Houston put a beating on Cleveland last night, their record is 12-9. No. 8 Oklahoma City they have a young team and they are playing well, I guess Kelvin Durant over Oden is the right pick, their record is 11-9. No. 7 Phoenix Suns are doing what they do every year run up and down the court and score points, they are 15-7. No. 6 Denver Nuggets, they have a chance to make a lot of things happen in the West, the record for them is 16-6. Holding down No. 5 Cleveland Cav's, I'm a Cav's fan, but I'm not just feeling them it too much James he great, but open the game up please, they stand at 15-7. The surprise of the East in the NBA is at No.4 and they are the Atlanta Hawks, holding down a 15-6 record. Superman and his team check in at No. 3, we are talking Magic basketball, they are 17-4 and they have a great chance to take it all. It time to find out who are the big two, Boston check in at No. 2 and their record is 17-4. At No. 1, I was telling you how can a team started the season with their 17 out of their first 21 games at home, you should have a great record and you are already a great team to begin with. This team need no help in being No. 1, but the people that made the schedule give them a break and they are taking full advantage of it, 17-3 is the season record that their have. 12 12 down and gone.

Grizzlies snap Cav's streak

Grizzlies beat the Cav's last night in overtime on a Mike Conley basket with 3 second. Mr. James had a great night with 43 points and 13 rebounds. He had a chance at the end of the game to win it with a 3 pointer, that hit the front of the rim. The Boston Celtics out last Milwaukee Bucks 98-89 for their 8 victory in a row. The nets got there first road win as they have won two out of three games by beating Chicago 103-101, they are now 2-19. The Bobcats got a win over Denver 107-95, that snap a wininng streak for the Nuggets. The Hornets two point winner over The Kings and lets look at the rest of the NBA, Dallas playing better this season beat the Suns 102-101, and the Magic with the second best record in the NBA at 17-4 tuning up the Clippers 97-86. Here is a amazing thought did you know that the Lakers first 21 games of the season, 17 are at home that hard to understand. Over 40% of their home schedule is done after their 21st game, with 61 more to go, think about that. 12 12 down and gone.

Pack Back in win over Baltimore

The Packers are looking a lot better for the playoff, they had a 27-14 win over Baltimore last night. The lost put Baltimore at 6-6 in a tie with Pittsburgh for 2nd place in their race for a wild-card. Lets take a look at the leaders in other division, in the NFC East Dallas is the leader with a 8-4 record tie with Philadelphia and New York Giants are 7-5. NFC North the leader is Minnesota with a 10-2 record and 2 games lead over Green Bay. NFC South, New Orleans is perfect with a 12-0 record and lead the next team with a 6 game lead over Atlanta. NFC West, last year Super Bowl team Arizona is leading with a 8-4 record. AFC East, New England just a game lead over the Jets and Miami. The Colts the other 12-0 team is 5 ahead of the next team and that team is Jacksonville. San Diego now hold a one game lead over Denver in the AFC West. 12 12 down and gone.

Monday, December 7, 2009

Arizona over Minnesota

A little late with the blog today, so let get to the Sunday night game a surprise I would say so. Arizona wininng 30-17 and bringing their record to 8-4 and Minnesota is now 10-2. What is wrong with Pittsburgh they lost to the Oakland Raiders, can you understand that. The Colts staying undefeated and the Saints doing the same. So for the day I went 3-2 and now my record for the season stands at 87-53. The title game for the BCS Championship is going to be Alabama vs. Texas, another game with undefeated Cincinnati on New Year day will have them playing once beaten Florida. The Fiesta Bowl and I will call this one now, Boise State and TCU, the winner Boise State. 12 12 down and gone.

Two by one, Cincinnati and Texas

Two of the undefeated teams won yesterday by one point, those two were Cincinnati first and Texas last. Cincinnati trailing 31-10 in the 3rd period put together a comeback that ended with them kick the extra point with 33 second left in the game, and won in great fashion 45-44, to win the Big East. the last game of the day was a big surprise, Nebraska staying close to Texas until the last play of the game on a 46 yard field goal wininng 13-12. No. 1 Florida going down at the hands of No.2 Alabama 32-13 and ended string of victory that was at 20 for Florida. Georgia Tech was the winner in the other late game beating Clemson 39-34. I started the yesterday at 80-50 and I went 4-1 so my record now stand at 84 51. I will go over my picks quick Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Tennessee, San Diego, New York Giants. 12 12 down and gone.

College Football Championship Games

Today is the day that conference championship appear on the the TV all day so I will have to pick my games from the big dog of college football. To lead the day off we have the Big East showdown between Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, this isn't a NFL game it the Panthers and Bearcats. The Cincinnati Bearcats have little defense and they will have to out score the Panthers from Pittsburgh, not happen, Pittsburgh will win this one and Cincinnati undefeated season goes down the drain. Next No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Alabama in this game I see the bama boys wininng and I will give the score for it to. I see Alabama 23 and Florida 17. The ABC TV game for tonight will be No. 3 Texas and Nebraska, they are the team that could only get 7 points against Iowa State, who Iowa State, my point. Texas blow out Nebraska 45-17. Games four West Virginia beating Rutgers, well I got to pick somebody, have you look at the games that I have to pick from, by the way I see West Virginia taking this one. OK, that means that I have pick four games here is number 5, Georgia Tech and Clemson, Tech downing Clemson. 12 12 down and gone.

Oregon going to the Rose Bowl

Well, Ohio State know who they will be playing on January 1, 2010, it will be the Oregon Ducks. They were winning over their state rival Oregon State last night, their call it the silver war and that it was. It went down to the wire with the Ducks holding the high score 37-33. In the NFL from Canada the Jets beat Buffalo 19-13, but they may have lost their young QB in the process, detail later. NBA, Allen Iverson is back with the 76ers the place where he was draft out of Georgetown in 1996. I think he is happy to be back home, the young guy was tearful before press yesterday, it great he can end his journey where he started. Winner in the NBA last night were Boston beating the Spurs 90-83 for their 6th straight victory. Denver winner over Miami 114-96 and the third game of the night had Houston downing Golden State 111-109. 12 12 down and gone.

Big Ten BIG PARTY

For the first time since they started to play the Big Ten and ACC challenge the Big Ten won the challenge, but they needed three victory at the end to do it. They need a 23 point rally from Illinois against Clemson and a Wisconsin upset of the Duke Blue Devils and to put the night away the last game Ohio State beating Florida State 77-64. There in The Value City building of Ohio State a roar went out as they give the Wisconsin score with 4:06 left on the clock they know all Ohio State had to was win and the Big Ten would win the challenge. Evan Turner and Jon Diebler scored 47 of the 77 points and Simmons off the bench add it another 14 points to help. So Congrat to out to the Big Ten. They have been doing this since 1999, 10 years and this is the first for them. Evan Turner had 25 points and 13 rebounds for the Ohio State Buckeye, you know I think he is an all-american. 12 12 down and gone.

Bowden leaving Florida State

After 34 years at Florida State, coach Bowden will step down after the bowl game. This Coach has many records, but the one that maybe never be match is him finishing at least top 5 in the national poll for 14 years in a row, from 1987 to 2000. Many teams wish they could finish once in the top 5, but to do that all those years in a row speak volume about the coach. Big college football games coming up this weekend like Pittsburgh and Cincinnati, the Cincinnati coach could be the next head coach at Notre Dame. I'm having a tough time with this game, Cincinnati could go undefeated for the season that would be big for this program. Well the big one No. 1 Florida and No. 2 Alabama I'm thinking about taken Bama. No. 3 Texas going against Nebraska, don't be fooled by Nebraska defense they can play on that side of the football, but can the score enough point to stop Texas. 12 12 down and gone.

Saints are 11-0

The Saints show who was the boss last night by beating New England 38-17. I have the Saints No.1 in my power rating and they are still that. The Colts who have been behind in the 4th 5 games in a row which is a NFL are the No. 2 team in the power rating. I will give No. 3 and he wears No. 4, it Minnesota Vikings. Bucks rally to beat the Bulls last night there is a great story going on in Milwaukee. Brandon Jennings and the Milwaukee Bucks are doing a good thing, instead of going to college to play basketball for one season, he went over seas and play ball and got good. They are 9-7 just 2.5 game behind Cleveland. 12 12 down and gone.
