Ohio State and Purdue Winner
Evan Turner had another fine night with 25 points 7 rebounds and 7 assists to help Ohio State to a 75-67 win over host Penn State. Evan Turner leads the Big Ten in scoring and rebounding and second in assists. Ohio State had a 49-32 lead with about 11 minute remaining and with 5:16 Penn State had cut the lead to 59-57. Turner went on a run and in about 3 minutes the score was 67-59. Turner's hold the Big Ten record for Big Ten player of the week he has earned that 9 times in his time at Ohio State. Turner has won the award 6 times this season and the record was 5 by Glen Robinson and Jimmy Jackson. Turner is work on player of the year in college and his resume is looking good. Purdue had a tough time with Minnesota Keaton Grant hit a jumper with 7.7 second left to sealed the deal 59-58 to keep them on top of the Big Ten with a 12-3 record. There is 3 games left for Purdue and Ohio State has 2 games left and both at home for them. Ohio State record is 12-4, they play host to Michigan and Illinois. It is hard to believe that Michigan State started with a 9-0 record and a 3 game lead and now 11-5 and a game and half out. 12 12 down and gone.
